John Pearse Silk and Phosphor Bronze Light 11-49 Acoustic Guitar Strings 510L
John Pearse was responsible for teaching a generation of music lovers how to play guitar, and his brand of acoustic guitar strings are everything you’d expect and more from such an iconic musical figure. Whether you’re into blues, bluegrass or folk, these strings are carefully crafted for players with serious aspirations. Not long after that, he became a sought-after session guitarist, and in 1978 he moved to the United States to design music products for the C.F. Martin Company. Of course, he soon began to make his own acoustic guitar strings, and they’re still very popular with folk and bluegrass musicians today.
John Pearse offers five series of acoustic guitar strings – 80/20 bronze, nickel, Nuage, phosphor bronze and silk/phosphor bronze.
Silk and phosphor bronze wound strings with silvered plain steels are offered in two gauge ranges – light and light medium. The extra thin core is produced with triple annealed mild steel with a silk multifilament cushioning the phosphor bronze winding. The silk cushion softens the phosphor bronze making these sets great for studio players. These strings were formulated with the cooperation of Steve Sheehan, lead guitarist for the Judds
